We got Leo, our rescue dog from Spain, as a comfort for my dad. Both my parents moved in with us when their dementia got so bad that they could not live alone. Leo gave love to all of us, but was a special source of pleasure for my dad. My parents passed away. We are now hosting a mother and daughter from Ukraine, who had been sheltering in a basement for weeks. Leo is like a furry therapist to our 8 year old guest, always ready to play or just cuddle - whatever she wants. She adores him 😀
